Well, it's been awhile since I've last posted on this blog, but I am still working on these updates! Hopefully, I haven't been gone for too long. Let's pick up right where we left off.
Our journey that day took us to Sumida, Tokyo where the Tokyo SkyTree is located. If you're staying at a Tokyo Disney Resort hotel, you can easily take a bus (located at DisneySea station), but since we were meeting up with a friend of ours, we took a few trains instead. This meant we had to walk part of the way.
The walk took approximately 20 minutes, which was wonderful for sight-seeing!
Everything in Japan has a mascot.

Can't complain about the view.
Once we arrived, we visited Tokyo Solamachi SkyTree Town for lunch. I am used to high-rises like the Willis Tower in Chicago, so I was not expecting the vast offerings located here.
To elaborate, you will not find a decent size supermarket inside the Willis Tower. I had very little knowledge about this prior to my visit and I was taken aback by all the SkyTree Town had to offer.
With shops of every kind and famous food chains, it was easy to get lost inside. We definitely did!

It was impossible to pinpoint exactly what to eat. Just take a look at their gourmet guide. We all agreed that cold soba was the ideal meal for lunch, we just had to narrow down which restaurant to try and none of us were disappointed with our choice.
Our soba noodles were prepared fresh. Admittedly, I am now spoiled.
Absolutely worth the wait.
As I mentioned before, there are so many restaurants and cafes to sample!
Although these are not exclusive to SkyTree Town, we figured it was finally time to try some Japanese Starbucks.
We had to try Starbuck's famous sakura frappucino. As tasty as it is photogenic. Personally, I wanted seconds.
It was finally time to visit the actual SkyTree, which was a little overwhelming.
There are four high speed elevators (themed after the seasons) that take you to the Tembo Deck.
This interactive map was helpful. We were able to find Tokyo Disneyland!
Coincidentally Tokyo SkyTree is celebrating their 5th Anniversary! As I mentioned before, everything has a mascot.
We also enjoyed The Flowers by NAKED exhibit.
By the time we finished our tour, the SkyTree was illuminated.
There are only two illumination patterns that alternate.
Just outside the deck is a Sorakara-chan display that glows every few minutes.
On our way back, we paid for the shuttle back to the Tokyo Disney Resort. The bus ride only took around 30 minutes and it was great to relax after spending all day on our feet.
At the station, we transferred buses to visit Disney's Celebration Hotel.
There are two main buildings: Wish and Discover. Wish is Fantasyland themed, while Discover is Adventureland and Westernland themed.
The Wish building featured maquettes from some of their most popular attractions.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
The lobby featured gorgeous artwork and murals.
The Wish courtyard featured topiary floats from Dreamlights!
There's also a replica of Snow White's Wishing Well.
Disney's Celebration Hotel is a fantastical Disney dream with only one small downside. Although this is a Disney hotel, it is not on property and it takes about 10-15 to get to the Disney Resort. I would love to eventually stay here for a night because the rooms are cute!
Well, one more city day left and then it's back to Disney. Day 10 coming soon.
