Last year, Hilton Tokyo Bay basically became our home. While the HTB isn't the cheapest of the official TDR Resorts, it is the nicest in my opinion.

After dropping off our bags, we headed to Ikspiari for a quick lunch before heading off into the city. Never adventure on an empty stomach. We picked Ichizenya for some grilled pork donburi (I am still dreaming about this!!!)

If you're staying at Tokyo Disney Resort, the easiest way to get to the city is from Maihama station, located next to Ikspiari.

Since we were on our way to Harajuku, we took the Keiyo Line to Tokyo Station.

Before venturing off to Harajuku's famous Takeshita Street, we wanted to visit Meiji Shirine(the largest Shinto shrine in Tokyo!!)

When visiting a shrine, there are certain traditions to respectfully follow. This is a purification fountain where you purify your hands and mouth. There is a specific way to do this, too.

While we were there, a traditional wedding took place.

Shrines are such a calming experience, which such a juxtaposition to the wild streets of Harajuku.

So crowded!

Every shop is so aesthetically unique, but you can't take photos in many of them... Here and there, if you can actually find room to take a photo, there's something to enjoy in every corner.

I specifically picked Peco's photo booth because we watched her film at Tokyo Disneyland last year for an easter tv special and we've basically become loyal followers since. If you're unfamiliar with Peco (and other idols), you will get to know her by the end of your trip. Peco is everywhere in Tokyo and her influential style is often imitated.

There's a crepe stand on every corner in Harajuku!

I'm still mad at myself for not giving this place a try (don't let long lines throw you off), but Totti Candy Factory boasts large and colorful cotton candy on a stick.

Off to Shibuya, we go! Only one station from Harajuku, Shibuya is filled with exciting nightlife and endless shopping.

Shibuya 109 is levels upon levels of gorgeous accessories, clothing, and shoes! This is unlike any mall I've ever been to.

This is one of the few plus size stores I've seen. I loved every cute overpriced outfit they had for sale.

Visiting the Disney Store in Shibuya is an absolute MUST! Three levels of incredible Disney merch with an incredible theme for each room.

At this point in the day, we were pretty exhausted (especially because of Disney!!) So, we planned to take the train back to Maihama.

Our new view at Hilton Tokyo Bay was so nice that we could watch Dreamlights from our window! Another city day to come. Day 9 coming soon.

Enjoy,
